SPBI: Project Planning (Feelin' It Out)

 

PROJECT PLANNING

GOALS FOR THIS SECTION


Students will plan their project using research, end product list, collaboration within their group, and peer review.

DAY 1

Ms. Osborn-Swift began class by asking the students if they had questions about their contracts. Then a class discussion was held over review techniques. The four end products and aligning the main topic with their subtopics was discussed before allowing the students to begin their planning. At the end of class, the students were asked to have their four end products chosen, contracts completed, and their end products aligned with standards.

DAY 2


Mr. Welch led a group discussion about group’s ideas to solidify how the standards were aligned with each topic.

DAY 3

Mr. Hewett discussed how to respectfully work together while keeping in mind diverse
personalities and work ethics. Students reflected on collaboration skills and were assigned a list identifying their four products, supply list, and any other requests.

 

DAY 4

Mr. Welch and Mr. Hewett concluded the planning wek by leading brainstorming sessions and having groups critique each other’s work. Students were asked to research over the weekend about ways their topics were used in real life and professions they were interested in. Students will share their research at the beginning of the next class.
